Vorweg: Die Batterie selbst, der Service, die Lieferzeit und der Preis sind unschlagbar und würden volle 5 Sterne verdienen. Aber die Batterie nennt sich "smart" und da hapert es:
Um die LiTime-App nutzen zu können, muss man sich bei Li Time mit Email-Adresse einen Login machen. Dazu wird einem ein Passcode gesendet, der nur 90 Sekunden lang gilt. Wer also seine Emails nicht direkt auf sein Smartphone bekommt, schafft das nicht. Zum Benutzen der App muss ich immer online und eingeloggt sein. Das ist Mist. Der Hersteller sammelt Telemetriedaten und trackt mich. Was, wenn ich die Batterie auf einem Segelboot nutzen möchte, wo kein Internet gerade verfügbar ist. Oder ich möchte eben einfach nicht gezwungen werden, permanent online zu sein.
Die App selbst ist dann auch eine große Enttäuschung. Keine Einzelzellenspannungen. Praktisch nur SOC und Strom/Spannung. Wer die Apps der großen BMS Hersteller kennt, ist sowas von enttäuscht. Eine Anfrage beim Support nach einer "off-Grid"-Version dieser App blieb bisher ohne Erfolg.
Hätte ich das vorher gewusst hätte ich mir die "nicht smarte" Version dieser Batterie gekauft.

Wie gesagt: Akku selbst 5 Sterne plus. Aber die Software ist für die Tonne.

After reading the first terrible review after just getting mine shocked. Same Problem: no BT connectivity, 3.x V.

RELAX: Wake up the BMS by hooking the poles to a powersupply. I applied the Voltage according to the manual with an adjustable powersupply. I recon any other 24V supply will do. You just need it for a second… literally.
Instantly the Battery offers the Voltage it is supposed to. BT connectivity then works as well. Battery is at 42% and everything is fine.

Still: a short note in the manual about the wake up process would have been nice.

Tomorrow I‘m going to test it further. Looking forward to it.

I ordered and received 2 of these batteries using the early bird promotion deal.

Apparantly it was too early in the morning for the Li Time employees because they (see picture) wanted me to charge this battery with 14.4V !!

The manual however states 28.8V as it should be.

Also, the measured voltage of battery one is 3.3V, the other is 3.2V. One would think the BMS would prevent such a low discharge.

As a bonus, when I connect these 2 batteries in parallel to my 30A Solar charge controller, I seriously doubt it will recognize it as a 24 battery pack, so I will need a 230v charger to push 28.8v into it. You guessed it, don't have a 28.8v charger yet.

Bluetooth couldn't find any of the 2 batteries, probably because the module needs 24V to operate.

I don't know what to think of this, honestly.

I would like a Li Time representative to get in touch with me to address all this.

24/04/2024 update: After ordering and receiving a Li Time 20A 28.8v charger the two batteries are fully charged now, and the cells have been automatically balanced as well. I did receive an email from customer support explaining the BMS of the two batteries were in protective mode and had to be activated by connecting a charger or 30V solarpanel directly for 30-60 second. Bluetooth modules are working as well.
